Playing bartender in the comfort of your own kitchen can be nice. You don't need a designated driver and you can make your drink stronger than state laws allow.

As a young drinker, I was a regular consumer of White Russians until I decided that I didn't care for milk.

Nowadays, in my kitchen, I make a Russian Almond, my adaptation of the White Russian, starting with a pint glass filled with ice cubes. Add 2 ounces of vodka, 2 ounces of Kahlua and top it off with Almond milk. Mix till the colors blend together and drink it up like you are lactose intolerant.
